Stress-free installation flexibility
Optimized installation with 1.6x zoom and lens shift
Maximize your screen size in rooms of any shape and size. Capable of projecting a 100-inch image from a distance of 2.35 m (7.71 ft), the VMZ82 Series delivers bright, vibrant images on screens up to 300 inches. The 1.6x optical zoom (throw ratio: 1.09 to 1.77:1) offers mounting flexibility, making it easy to work around ceiling obstructions or adjust the image to fit the projection surface using an existing mount. Combined with lens shift (V: +44%, H: ±20%), it supports off-axis and high mounting positions while maintaining precise image geometry.
Digital zoom extender and digital image shift
The Digital Zoom Extender increases the projector's throw distance beyond the optical zoom range, allowing you to reuse your existing ceiling mount or install the projector farther from the screen, eliminating the need for construction work. Digital image shift allows the image to be moved up to 10% in any direction for off-axis or high-ceiling installations.
Note: Resolution will decrease when using the Digital Zoom Extender and Digital Image Shift. When using the Digital Zoom Extender, the image reduction rate can be set up to 80%. When set below 100%, the image position can be shifted vertically or horizontally using Digital Image Shift. Some image correction functions are unavailable when using this function, and the corner adjustment range is limited. Using the same projector mount may not be possible in all situations.

Quickly find the projection angle with the angle monitor
Aligning the projection angle to the screen can be challenging and often requires two people. The VMZ82 series features a built-in gyro sensor that detects changes in the projector's pitch and roll angle, which are graphically displayed in the OSD menu. Installers can adjust the projection angle without assistance.
Note: The displayed values are based on the angle sensor detection results and may differ from the actual projection angle. They are for reference only, and accuracy is not guaranteed.
Improved screen customization with new GUI
The VMZ82 series introduces an updated screen customization suite with an intuitive new graphical user interface (GUI). Designed to simplify setup in various rooms—including curved screens—the GUI optimizes settings remotely without the need for a connected PC, making installation faster, easier, and more flexible than ever before.
Precise line adjustment via grid function
The grid function allows you to correct minor distortions by adjusting horizontal or vertical lines on a fixed 11 x 17 grid. Correction is easily performed using the remote control.
Note: The remote control shown is for illustrative purposes only.

Improved curved screen correction
With Curve Correction, each side of the image can now be adjusted independently—unlike previous models where opposite sides moved in tandem. This added flexibility supports more precise correction on curved surfaces, ideal for sports simulators, museum exhibits, and corporate displays.

6-point screen adjustment system for corner projection
For corner or column projections, the 6-point screen adjustment system allows for fine-tuned adjustment of the image geometry. It's ideal for maximizing screen space in compact meeting rooms or creating striking visual installations in galleries and exhibition spaces.
Independent 4-corner adjustment
Correct trapezoidal distortion in off-center or angled projector positions. The 4-corner adjustment allows users to control each corner of the image independently via remote control. Settings can be saved and reapplied to optimize the setup across multiple rooms or sessions.
Maintain aspect ratio for natural scaling
Maintain Aspect Ratio maintains the image's proportions during adjustment, preventing distortion or stretching. It ensures the content looks natural while allowing edge-to-edge alignment, providing a clean, professional finish in any room.

Image recognition: Intelligent energy saving
A new image detection feature helps reduce power consumption during inactivity. If no change in the projected image is detected for a specified period, the projector can automatically dim the light output by 50% or turn off the light source. The timer is adjustable, and the brightness returns seamlessly when activity resumes , avoiding energy waste without interrupting the viewing experience.
1 If the projector enters standby mode while in image detection power saving mode, the recovery time may vary depending on the standby settings and input source.
Note: Adjustments cannot be made when [DYNAMIC CONTRAST] is set to anything other than [OFF], [ECO MANAGEMENT] → [AUTO POWER SAVE] is set to [OFF], [ECO MANAGEMENT] → [LIGHT POWER] is set to anything other than [NORMAL], a [TEST PATTERN] is displayed, or there is no signal. The image detection function is supported when the input signal is via the HDMI™ or COMPUTER IN terminals.
Get started faster with Quick On
The VMZ82 series features a Quick Start mode. When enabled, the projector displays your content at full brightness in approximately one second when booting from standby mode—no warm-up delay like lamp-based models. This allows you to quickly resume presentations and minimize distractions. Additionally, Direct Power Off allows you to shut down the projector using the room switch or by unplugging the power cord—with no cooldown time.
1 When [ECO MANAGEMENT] > [QUICK STARTUP] is set to [ON]. [QUICK STARTUP] is not available after the [AVAILABLE PERIOD] setting has elapsed. When [QUICK STARTUP] is set to [ON], the projector continues to heat up and increases power consumption. When [QUICK STARTUP] is set to [ON], the standby period during which the [QUICK STARTUP] function is valid is added to the projector runtime. [QUICK STARTUP] cannot be set when [STANDBY MODE] is set to [ECO]. The time depends on the interfaces, signals, and other conditions in use.
2 Settings made just before disconnecting the power supply may not be retained the next time you start up.
