Large images with fewer shadows

Share large 80- to 120-inch images in rooms of any size, from small huddle rooms to hybrid classrooms where ceiling installation space is limited. The compact, ultra-short-throw design delivers an 80-inch image from about 1 cm (1/3 inch) away. 1 . Sign in. Because the lens is positioned in front of the presenter, shadows and glare are reduced, allowing everyone to communicate comfortably. The large image and detailed WUXGA resolution make it ideal for displaying small text.

1 value is the distance between the projector housing and the wall.

Stylish design harmonizes with your room

The projector's minimal screen offset makes it a practical choice for rooms with low ceilings, where it installs almost flush with the wall. The body is available in black or white and has no protrusions, creating a clean, elegant style that blends in with any interior. Installed in an office, classroom, or museum, this unobtrusive projector blends in with the group, allowing attention to remain focused on the presentation.

Ultra-quiet design for hybrid spaces

The CMZ50's heat-resistant light source significantly reduces exhaust noise and unwanted distractions when people sit near the projector. Its quiet operation also improves the audibility of conversations during hybrid classes and meetings by reducing background noise. In Quiet Mode, its operating noise is only 25 dB 1 , which is roughly the perceived volume of rustling leaves. With a perceived noise level less than one-third 2 of a comparable lamp-based projector, the CMZ50 ensures everyone stays alert and focused on the presentation.

1 34 dB in NORMAL/ECO mode.

2 Based on a comparison between the PT-CMZ50 (25 dB) and PT-TW381R (30 dB) in QUIET mode. The human ear perceives changes in sound intensity on a logarithmic scale. The perceived difference in loudness between the two products was calculated using the following formula: Perceived difference = 10^[(dB1 - dB2) / 10].

Smooth, razor-sharp details at WUXGA

WUXGA LCD panels (1,920 x 1,200) enhance text display and highlight details for a more insightful and engaging presentation. Text edges are smooth, sharp, and easy to read. Documents and images are displayed clearly, allowing stress-free viewing. Furthermore, content from different devices can be projected in the same aspect ratio.

Effortless delivery of widescreen content

Widescreen video conferencing software layouts can be output to a CMZ50 projector, allowing remote participants' faces to appear at the bottom of the screen at eye level with those seated in the room, improving communication fluidity. The CMZ50 accepts 2560 x 1080 (21:9) or 3240 x 1080 (27:9) input signals 1 to enable the display of widescreen content in its native aspect ratio. It features an HDMI OUT port™ and edge blending to support the connection of a second CMZ50 projector, allowing widescreen content to be displayed on two screens at the native resolution and aspect ratio. It is also possible to cast content from the main projector to a second projector or monitor the presentation on a remote display.

1 An input signal of 2560 x 1080 (21:9) is displayed at 1920 x 810 (21:9) and an input signal of 3240 x 1080 (27:9) is displayed at 1920 x 640 (27:9)

High brightness and contrast for impressive visual impact

Projectors in classrooms, offices, and museums must be powerful enough to penetrate bright ambient light. The CMZ50 delivers brightness of up to 5,200 lm 1 for sharp, well-saturated images in bright environments. Dynamic Contrast uses scene linking technology to analyze each video frame and digitally adjust the light output according to the contrast requirements of each scene. The high contrast ratio of 3,000,000:1 2 improves text legibility and defines details in shadows, even in brightly lit rooms.

Detail Clarity Processor 4

The proprietary circuitry analyzes individual video frames to clearly display image areas with the finest details. Algorithms extract data from four frequency bands of the signal, sharpening contours, correcting contours, and reducing noise for clearer text and better detail resolution in videos and graphics.

Motor-assisted center and peripheral focus via remote control

Once the unit is positioned, adjustments can be easily performed using the remote control: no more balancing on stepladders to reach manual controls on the projector cabinet. Buttons for the "Powered Center Focus" and "Powered Periphery Focus" functions ensure consistent image sharpness from the center to the edges.

Digital zoom extender and digital image shift

If it's not possible to install the CMZ50 projector in the optimal position, the Digital Zoom Extender and Digital Image Shift features can be useful. In addition to digitally adjusting the image size to fit the screen, you can also digitally shift the projection vertically and horizontally by up to ±10%. The image position and size can be flexibly adjusted to fit your screen without touching the projector.

Wall mount saves time and resources

Optional ET-WBC100 hardware is available for wall mounting. The hardware is partially pre-assembled, reducing the number of screw points and installation effort. The lightweight design minimizes installation effort. In addition to the ability to move the projector in all directions, a control wheel provides vertical and horizontal tilt adjustment of ±5° and horizontal rotation adjustment of ±5°. Adjustments can be retained after adjustment without the need for a separate locking adjustment screw, enabling quick and precise adjustment.

Equipped with various screen correction functions

If you project at an angle, you can correct the resulting image distortion using the screen adjustment features accessible via the remote control. These include 4-Corner Correction and Vertical/Horizontal Keystone Correction, which correct distortion based on the projection angle, as well as Curved Grid Correction 1 , which reduces image distortion when projecting onto curved surfaces, such as certain blackboards.

Integrates into your 4K audiovisual system

The CMZ50 accepts 4K input signals via HDMI and DIGITAL LINK™ connectors. This is a great help when distributing 4K content from a media server to multiple display endpoints with different screen resolutions. You don't need to manually re-encode the video content to adapt it to this projector or use an external video converter, reducing system and workflow complexity.

1 Supports signals up to 4K/30p. A signal with a different resolution is converted to the number of display pixels (1920 x 1200 pixels).

Includes a USB port

The projector features a USB port that supports DC 5 V/2 A power supply for the optional PressIT Wireless Presentation Receiver 1 or a compatible media streaming device 2. The built-in power adapter reduces cable clutter for a clean and tidy installation. It can also be used to connect the optional AJ-WM50 Wireless Module, perform firmware updates, or project still images 3 stored on a USB storage device using the Memory Viewer function.

1 PressIT wireless presentation system sold separately. Availability may vary by country or region. For more information, please click here .

*2 Compatibility with third-party devices cannot be guaranteed.

Reduces environmental impact, from unpacking to end of life

Switch to eco-friendly Panasonic projection and reduce your company's impact on the environment. The CMZ50's efficiency in watts per lumen is 100%, with a maximum power consumption of 325 W (AC 100-120 V) or 310 W
(AC 200-240 V) by approximately 31% 11 better than comparable lamp-based projectors. You can further improve energy efficiency by projecting in ECO or QUIET mode. There's no longer any hassle with lamp disposal, and the filter can be washed and reused twice 2 , making the CMZ50 an environmentally friendly choice from unboxing to the next refresh cycle.

Absolute reliability with minimal maintenance

Consistent and long-lasting image quality is just one advantage of the CMZ50 laser projector. The light source and ECO filter only require maintenance after approximately 20,000 hours. 1 Comparable lamp projectors would require between one and four lamp and filter changes for the same operating time. Furthermore, laser projectors require less time to start up and are less prone to unexpected downtime.

* At this time, the light output will have decreased to approximately 50% of its original level ([PICTURE MODE]: [DYNAMIC], [DYNAMIC CONTRAST] set to [2], temperature 30°C [86°F], altitude 700 m [2,297 ft] with 0.15 mg/ m3 particulate matter). The estimated time until the light output decreases to 50% varies depending on the environment. The filter can be washed and reused up to two times. Filter cleaning cycle: 20,000 hours (under dust conditions of 0.08 mg/ m3 ), 10,000 hours (under dust conditions of 0.15 mg/ m3 ).

Start working immediately

Start your class or meeting immediately, without delays that can distract your group. Unlike lamp-based projectors that require time to warm up, the CMZ50 can project your content from standby mode in about one second. 1 It also features a direct-off function, allowing you to turn off the projector at any time using the room switch without risking damage.

1 When [ECO MANAGEMENT] > [QUICK STARTUP] is set to [ON]. [QUICK STARTUP] is not available after the [AVAILABLE PERIOD] setting has elapsed. When [QUICK STARTUP] is set to [ON], the projector continues to heat up and increases power consumption. When [QUICK STARTUP] is set to [ON], the standby period during which the [QUICK STARTUP] function is valid is added to the projector runtime. [QUICK STARTUP] cannot be set when [STANDBY MODE] is set to [ECO]. The time depends on the interfaces, signals, and other conditions in use.

CEC Command compatible HDMI™ makes life easy

Both of the projector's HDMI inputs™ are compatible with CEC commands 1 to allow use with fewer remote controls. The projector will automatically turn on, play your content, and turn off when it receives these commands from a compatible source device, such as a
Blu-ray Player™, a media streamer or the optional PressIT 2 wireless presentation system.

12 Depending on the connected CEC command-compatible device, the link control may not work as expected.
